What a Constable Does
In Pennsylvania, constables are elected peace officers who serve six-year terms. Certified constables carry out work for the local magisterial district courts, such as serving court papers and warrants, and they help keep the peace at polling places on Election Day. Haverford Township elects two constables, and both serve the entire township.
